Need a new perspective on nature? Well, you live in the right place. Bozeman is home to the Bridger Outdoor Science School (Bridger), a non-profit organization that is progressively working to educate Bozeman's youth and community by offering "interactive natural science programs that promote an appreciation and understanding of the natural world."

Bridger was founded in 1994 by three mothers who were looking for a creative way to make learning about the natural sciences fun for their children. Since its origin, the school has grown tremendously – Bridger now educates approximately 3,000 local parents, teachers, and children annually. Using an "inquiry and discovery approach" toward education, Bridger’s staff works to make learning an enjoyable, hands-on experience, while developing the students’ personal "sense of place" in their community.

Bridger's curriculum includes summer youth programs, community education, school programs, and teacher workshops. They also work to customize programs to fit individual needs and classrooms.

The Bridger Outdoor Science School provides the Bozeman community with great opportunities in natural science education at affordable costs. Rates include a deposit and are determined by class length and capacity. Partial scholarships are available on a need basis. If you would like further information or would like to sign up for any of Bridger's programs, call them at 406-582-0526.
