Custer-Gallatin National Forest
The Custer-Gallatin National Forest is Bozeman's big backyard. It encompasses 1.8 million acres and is home to six mountain ranges, including the Bridgers, Bangtails, Gallatin, and Madison Ranges, as well as the Lee-Metcalf and Absaroka-Beartooth Wildernesses.
