Review: Simms Stockingfoot

I’ve heard that no one looks good in waders. They aren’t exactly all the rage in Paris. Simms' new Women’s Gore-Tex Stockingfoots, however, have a lot of the same specifics the men’s waders have—plus a few perks for us gals. Mostly this is because Simms designed the women’s version with a woman’s body in mind. The chest panel comes up higher so as not to cut across the middle of “the girls,” and the overall fit is comfortable without being too snug or baggy at the legs and waist. You can also order them in custom sizes if you’re shorter or taller than average. For colder days, you’ll really appreciate the hand-warmer pocket with DWR treatment. The three-layer Gore-Tex is extremely durable, and the extra layers at your knees will help when wading through those tough spots. $330; simmsfishing.com.
