Spire Climbing Center

It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced climber looking to hone your skills for a March trip to the desert, or have no idea what a figure-8 knot is but heard that climbing was better than playing your X-Box—either way, there’s a new climbing wall in Bozeman for you. Spire Climbing Center welcomes all ages and abilities; the 6000-square-foot indoor facility houses a variety of terrain, from beginner to advanced. Roped routes range from 32 to 38 feet high. Spire has a strong community focus, with instruction for both children and adults, group climbs, a climbing team, and a relaxed yet safe atmosphere. Experienced climbers can meet up with friends and enjoy some time in the vertical world, and beginning climbers can learn the ropes from Spire’s experienced, knowledgeable, and welcoming staff. The building’s mezzanine level includes an exercise area with various cardio machines as well as free weights, a lounge with Internet access, a coffee shop, and space for groups and parties. There are single, family, and student rates available by day, month, semester (for students) or year. Shoes, harnesses, and chalk bags are available for rent. Winter hours are Monday-Friday 11:00 am to 10:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday 10-8. For more information visit Spire’s website at www.spireclimbingcenter.com. Climb on!
