Review: Scarpa Spin Planet

Now that I've been bitten by the trail-running bug and I'm starting to rack up high-mile days, I need a shoe with more cushion for the pushin'. The Scarpa Spin Planet offers plenty of support and stability in a shoe that still feels super lightweight. The tread is aggressive for demanding descents, and the upper material is very breathable for moisture evacuation. Scarpa's stock insoles tend to be quite flimsy, so consider upgrading to an aftermarket insole. $159; scarpa.com.
