Nemo Tent

I was looking for a tent that could go from car camping to the occasional backpack, that would have a bit of interior room while keeping a low profile, and could handle a variety of weather. After a week-long camping trip using Nemo’s Losi LS 3P, I was thoroughly impressed with the simple yet well-thought-out design. The unique pole configuration may take a minute to figure out, but once you see how the poles interlock with the intersection and swivel hubs, and the use of NEMO’s “Jake’s foot” corners, you’ll feel how solid it makes the whole structure. The tent withstands wind and rain like a champ, breathes well, and with nearly vertical walls, has plenty of room to move around inside, plus room for gear. Lighted pockets come in handy at night, as do the loops for the optional gear loft. The PawPrint liner is a great addition for when your dog is along; it snaps quickly into the corners and protects the floor and sleeping pads. $490 (tent), $55 (liner);
