Review: Nite Ize BrimLit

It appears that the folks at NiteIze have been burning the midnight oil, releasing new products with blinding frequency. Their latest illuminator is the BrimLit, a clip-on headlamp that sits under the brim of your ball cap for quick access while fishing, hiking, map-reading, or any other outdoor adventure one might undertake at night with a hat on. Simply slide the flexible light onto the brim, press the button, and four LEDs shoot 14 lumens wherever your bill is pointed, all while a low-output mode saves battery life. (No, this won’t make a good Christmas present for your cousin K-Dogg, who wears his hat sideways.) The BrimLit can also clip onto a climbing helmet, some bike helmets, or a cowboy hat—though you’d look mighty silly in the latter, and just might get your ass kicked. $17; niteize.com.
