And they call it puppy love… On May 19, team up with Bozeman Canine Classic for the K9 9K, a dog party, mixed-species footrace, and alliterative palindrome all in one. Participate in a 5.5-mile run or a 1-mile fun run/walk with your beloved pooch, all while raising money for the rest of the litter. The race begins at 9am, ventures through the trails of south Bozeman and ends in Bogert Park. From 11am-3pm, tell yo’ dawgs to join you and your sweaty competitors (both hairy and human) for fun including K-9 Police Unit and therapy-assistance demonstrations. Browse vendors and pet nonprofits, chow down on food, and check out treibball—a new doggie ball herding sport (we’re curious too). Proceeds benefit Gallatin Valley Land Trust, Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, and Morris Animal Foundation’s Canine Cancer Campaign. Registration costs $35; for more info, visit bozemancanineclassic.com.
