Geocaching Contest
Stolen caches, bad coordinates, three-foot-deep snowdrifts… the2009 Outside Bozeman Geocaching Contest was definitely dealt its share of mishaps. Nevertheless, dozens of intrepid navigators scoured southwest Montana for 17 well-concealed caches throughout the month of October. When the satellite static cleared, two winning navigators remained. Several other prizes were doled out; see outsidebozeman.com for details and all the rankings.

Best Snowman
Few icons capture the spirit of a Montana winter quite like a snowman. From the classic carrot-nosed Frosty to a decked-out downhill skier, snowmen of all shapes and sizes adorn Bozeman-area yards all winter long. And if you haven’t noticed, we small-town folk sure do make some dandies. Now’s your chance to get recognition for that 10-foot-tall Buddha you and your friends built after getting drunk on Keoke Coffees. So, build your best snowman, snap a photo, and send it in to [email protected]. Winner takes his or her pick from that bountiful mountain of gear and swag known as the O/B Treasure Chest. Good luck!

Suby Tales
Winter’s snowy streets mean more hair-raising adventures in that most Montanan of Japanese four-wheel-drives, the mighty and incomparable Subaru. And what’s an adventure if the tale is not told? Jot down some notes, snap a photo, and submit your best story to [email protected]. That’s right, the 2010 Montana Suby Tales Contest is here, and a pile of prizes awaits the victors. There’ll be awards for a range of categories, including funniest story, best photo, and wackiest tale. Visit outsidebozeman.com for more information and complete contest details. Don’t wait any longer—send us your Suby Tale!
