Mount Logan Boot

Mount Logan Boot

At first I didn’t like the Mount Logan because my foot didn’t feel snug. But I soon learned that a glove-like fit is not the sole measure of a good boot. Once I doubled up my socks, the fit improved tremendously, and I was able to assess the boot’s other features—like its excellent traction and incredible waterproofness. I hiked across ponds, creeks, and melting snow; the Mount Logan let in nary a drop. And at less than three pounds per pair, the boots made me feel light and agile while still providing adequate ankle support. $90; kamik.com.
