The Outa Ware Couloir Bibs (aka outerware Carhartts) are rugged pants made for cold climates. They're made of Dry-X fabric and have a "brushed polyester" mesh lining; they also have a reinforced butt, knee, and double-reinforced boot cuff. The company says these bibs are heavy duty and not meant for easy day touring, and it's true. There is virtually no need for long underwear, and the full-length zippers make for quick and easy ventilation. They also have elastic suspenders and boot cuff cinch straps that are easy to adjust and keep the snow out. I would recommend the Couloir Bibs for wealthy slednecks, cold days inbounds, and for people who work outdoors in the snow. $360; outaware.com.
