Baytown Sandal

All-terrain, closed-toe sandals are a dime a dozen these days (thank you, Keen) and the range of quality is vast. I like the Kamik Baytown, these lightweight slip-ons have proven themselves comfy around town, stable on hiking trails, and grippy in the river. The Velcro back-strap adjusts easily should you need to don a pair of socks (be aware this instantly nominates you for dork of the year), and the suede footbeds hold your feet firmly regardless of speed or slope angle. I wasn't a big fan of the khaki color or the bungee lace system; when drawn tight it flops around and looks goofy. Other than that, though, this is a solid shoe. $60; kamik.com.
