Spring Newsletter (Another one? Hot damn!)
We figured it was time to blow a few minds. The O/B newsletter is back, this time only a scant four months after the last edition. How can this be? Did the peyote I've been slipping into the office coffee finally take hold, sparking a maddening spree of productivity and enlightenment? (It would explain why the photo editor has stared at a ham sandwich for the last six hours, singing "Roadhouse Blues" as loud as he can.)

Really it can be safely attributed to annoyingly inconsistent weather: too warm to ski, too cold to climb. Damn. Best just to cloister oneself inside, indulge in psychotropic drugs, and crank out a few newsletters. When Mother Nature finally takes a Midol and Mr. Sun comes out to play for good, don't expect to hear from us till at least November.

Spring Issue on the Shelves
Yes, it's almost June, and the summer issue is nigh; but there are still a few spring copies lingering around the Bozone. Check out articles on spring skiing on the Beartooth Pass, gym rundown part deux, the best spring climbing crags, and more. Not to mention one of our favorites: a list of top shoulder season activities. Plagued with mud, slush, and errant snowstorms, outdoor spring activities can be tricky; thankfully, our very own Drew Pogge outlines the best way to wait for the summer sun. The accompanying photo (found only in the print edition) features a young man proudly sporting a puffy jacket and quaffing a Corona. So head downtown, uptown, or crosstown and find a fresh copy to check it out.

The Reason the Internet was Invented
If you aren't our friend yet, you damn well should be. With just one mouse-click you could be at our Facebook page, which is now almost constantly refreshed by our diligent horde of interns (and one curmudgeonly editor), keeping you up to date on the latest Bozeman news, events, and random outdoor happenings.

While you're there, check out our O/B Blog, featuring more great articles on our outdoor adventures. Not that we're self-conscious, but our current Facebook friend count stands at 1,602... we were kinda hoping for 2,659. With near daily Bozeman-area updates AND online contests, why wouldn't you want to be our friend?

How Far Will You Go?
As you pack for your latest adventure around the globe, make sure to keep the latest issue in your suitcase for a chance at published glory. Check out the official rules to make sure you do it right — a spectacularly Photoshopped shot might amuse the O/B staff, but it'll never reach the masses.
And when the big moment arrives, remember to be creative! Our summer winner very creatively incorporated an action pose, and a main contender for fall champion will be balancing on a slackline hundreds of feet off the deck, magazine happily in-hand. Make it great and we'll make you famous.

We are constantly striving to make Outside Bozeman — both our print issue and the website — even better. We welcome suggestions for improvement, though we reserve the right to ignore them completely. If you have feedback or ideas, please send them to info@outsidebozeman.com.

And as always... see you outside!

LIKE TO FISH?
If so, join us for the Hatchopedia Big Fish Contest and Ol' Blue Giveaway on May 27. This raffle and after-party celebrates big Montana fish and benefits our local rivers. Baxter Ballroom, 6pm. Come join the fun.

THE PHOTO CONTEST RAGES!
We've gotten loads of great images so far, but keep those shutters aflutterin'.
We've got tons of amazing prizes, so tote that camera everywhere. Hunt down your classic shots and send 'em in by July 9 to photos@outsidebozeman.com.

Remember, Outside Bozeman ponies up a lot of time and cash for these contests, so be sure to take part. It's wasted money otherwise, which we could have spent on beer, new gear, and paying an intern to answer the phone while we're fishing.
