Review: Honey Stinger Waffles

I’ve never been a fan of standard trail bars, but I do like small energy snacks I can easily stash in my backpack—so I was happy to discover Honey Stinger Waffles. These handy treats are based off the energy waffles eaten by professional cyclists all across Europe. And just like a real waffle, they taste great—it’s more like a cookie than an energy snack. Made from organic honey and certified organic ingredients, these things will help you maintain a sustainable energy level during any activity. Slim and individually packaged, they’re easy to stuff into your overflowing backpack. They come in several mouth-watering flavors like strawberry and chocolate, but my vote goes to vanilla. Available at REI and the Co-Op. $1.40; honeystinger.com
