Is covered in snow and ice -- don't bother heading up there for another week or two. Slippin' and slidin' all the way up, and downright treacherous on the way down.
You can hike around, but big patches of ice and packed snow make for terrible biking. Keep waiting.
Trail is great right now, some big patches of snow a mile or so below the lake but easy to negotiate. Lots of stream crossings!
