Film Review: Drift

A film on fly fishing.

Fall 2008 brings the much-anticipated release of Drift (Confluence Films, $24), “a cinematic fly-fishing adventure exploring the world and the passionate individuals who dedicate their lives to the sport.” The innovative film is a joint production of veteran Warren Miller ski film cameraman Chris Patterson; writer Tom Bie, whose down-to-earth, soulful The Drake magazine has landed the respect and admiration of anglers worldwide; and producer Jim Klug, owner of Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures in Bozeman. This talented trio promise to deliver a quality 16mm film, complete with interesting personalities, stunning cinematography, cool soundtrack, and plenty of eye-popping, fish-catching action (aka, fish porn). Available to order on DVD, iTunes, and Vimeo. For premiere info or to order a copy, visit confluencefilms.com.
