January 11-13

Island Park WinterFest. Check out this weekend full of winter events and competitions for all ages, including snowmobile races, “extreme” competitions, and parades—and even a “best dressed” snowmobile competition. islandparkchamber.org.

January 19-20

Hungry Bear Snow Festival. On Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, Island Park hosts the Mountain West Racing Snocross Series with prizes and trophies for all ages throughout the weekend; plus, don’t miss the vintage snowmobile races and jumping displays Saturday night. islandparkchamber.org.

January 26

Women’s Rally 4 Reason. This women’s-only cross-country snowmobile race in Island Park—the only of its kind in the continental US—helps raise money for local breast-cancer awareness programs. rally4reason.blogspot.com or 208-558-7015.

February 9

Island Park Snowmobiling Rally. This coed snowmobile rally races around a 45-mile course. Man/woman teams based on age vie for cash prizes and raffles. islandparkchamber.org or 208-558-7390.

February 16-17, March 9-10, April 6-7

Hungry Bear SnoCross Series Races. Kids and adults participate in this weekend-long series of snowmobile races in Island Park. Prizes and trophies are available for all ages, and if you participate in the entire competition, you’ll be eligible for championship awards. islandparkchamber.org.

February 23

Ol’ Man’s Rendezvous. Also held in Island Park, this is an all-male snowmobile event for three-man teams. There are different divisions based on age, including a junior class. islandparkchamber.org or 208-558-7390.

March 15-17

World Snowmobile EXPO. Often called the “Largest Snowmobile Event in the West,” the EXPO offers exhibits, races, and aerial displays for this weekend of snow and stunts in West Yellowstone. snowmobileexpo.com.
